Daniel Harris studied biochemistry and astronomy at the University of Michigan prior to attending medical school at Wayne State University. At Wayne state, he has distinguished himself in community service endeavors, including leading, fundraising for, and mentoring junior members of many service organizations in the Detroit area. Throughout the early months of the pandemic, in his role as Board of Student Organizations president, he compiled and updated a central database to connect students with volunteer opportunities directly related to the pandemic. He wants to work with urban underserved patients throughout his career. He is a sports fan, a violist, and a landscaper in his spare time.
