Biobele Braide grew up in Baltimore, Maryland. She completed her undergraduate degree at Johns Hopkins University, where she majored in Neuroscience. As part of her undergraduate studies, she lived in France for several months studying psychoanalysis, urban sociology, and French literature. As a medical student, Biobele helped lead and coordinate Story Time and Teen Talk, a volunteer program for an inpatient child and adolescent psychiatry unit that engages patients in creative social activities. She plans to join our Child Track. Outside of medicine, Biobele is a freelance portrait photographer and food blogger with over 70,000 followers and over 5 million views on her baking videos on Tik Tok.
