About Andrew Chun, MD, MPH

Harvard Medical School

Andrew Chun is a son of Korean immigrants whose family experiences influenced his decision to study educational inequities as an anthropology major at Yale. He completed a Master’s in Public Health at in Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health and attended Harvard Medical School. As a graduate student, Andrew conducted a needs assessment to improve mental health crises for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and was a board member of the Disabilities in Medicine working group. In medical school, he served as Special Education Surrogate Parent for children with special needs in state custody. Andrew is interested in Community Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. In addition, he enjoys crossword puzzles, reflective writing, and basketball.
