Joshua Salvi, MD, PhD

Associate Program Director

Joshua Salvi, MD, PhD, is an Associate Program Director for the residency and serves as the Director of the Physician Scientist Training Program (PSTP). Dr. Salvi is an attending psychiatrist at the MGH Center for OCD and Related Disorders and an Associate Director of Psychiatric Studies at the MGH Translational Research Center. He also serves as an Instructor in Psychiatry at HMS. Dr. Salvi completed his M.D.-Ph.D. at the Tri-Institutional Program at Weill Cornell Medical College and The Rockefeller University, where he performed his thesis work on mechanotransduction in sensory hair cells of the auditory and vestibular systems in the laboratory of A. James Hudspeth. He completed psychiatry residency here at MGH/McLean, where he participated in the PSTP, performing research in behavioral phenotyping of OCD and related disorders.
