Nkechi Conteh, MD, MPH

Associate Program Director, MGH/McLean Psychiatry Residency

Nkechi Conteh, M.D., M.P.H, is the Associate Program Director for Diversity and Inclusion for the residency.  Dr. Conteh is  an attending psychiatrist at the MGH Center for Women’s Mental Health and a community psychiatrist at MGH Revere Mental Health Clinic and an Instructor in Psychiatry at HMS. Dr. Conteh completed her medical degree at the University of Ibadan in Nigeria, a Master’s in Public Health at Harvard School of Public Health  and her residency in Adult Psychiatry at Duke University Hospital. In her final year of residency, she served as the GME Chair of the Duke Resident Council. She has received numerous awards for Community Psychiatry and Reproductive Psychiatry including , the American Psychiatric Association Research Colloquium for Junior Investigators in 2019, the Group of Advancement of Psychiatry Fellowship in 2019, and American College of Psychiatry Laughlin Fellowship in 2020. She also received awards for her innovative approach to improve healthcare access to women from historically-disadvantaged backgrounds.
